About David Nagel Decron Properties

In 1988, David Nagel of Los Angeles became President and CEO of Decron Properties Corporation, a major land-development and management firm based in Southern California. At the time, the company consisted of 15 employees and fewer than 10 properties. David Nagel applied his expertise in construction, real estate acquisition, and transaction structuring to grow Decron Properties and diversify its holdings. As a result, the firm now employs 190 professionals and oversees a portfolio of single- and multi-family homes, office and retail space, and mixed-use land worth more than $1.5 billion.

Mr. Nagel earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from the Stern School of Business at New York University and a Master’s degree in Real Estate Finance from the University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business. He also served in several facets of the construction and real estate management industry, including as a Job Superintendent on residential and commercial projects and as a Purchasing Agent and Portfolio Manager for the building division at Nagel Construction Company—positions that provided him with invaluable industry experience. At present, he oversees more than 7 million square feet of land held by Decron Properties and its affiliate firms.

When not overseeing his company’s day-to-day operations, David Nagel participates actively in his community. He previously chaired the board of directors at his synagogue, and he currently serves as President of a Los Angeles high school. Mr. Nagel also supports local fire and police departments.
